It’s Wednesday, and I have yet another jacket for your fiending pleasure. So, with very little ado, here it is: the Tim Hamilton Washed Leather Jacket (not a proper name really, just a description).
Crafted in buffalo leather, this thing can probably take one hell of a beating. Buffalo leather is very thick and very tough. Much like…well…a real live buffalo, actually.
A couple things that set this piece of from the pack:
1) Zippers!
The zippers are by Lampo, made in Italy, and top-quality. Which is a positive, considering you’ll have ‘em running up both your arms, shoulders, and sides (not to mention the functional front and pocket zips). Don’t worry, there’s stitching in place to stop you from unzipping to the point of insanity on the arm/side detailing. All the pulls are painted white for even more visual fun.
Arm/shoulder and side zipper detailing. The painted white pulls really pop
2) Collar!
The collar looks like a traditional stand collar at first, but it actually unfolds to twice that height, and hides a nylon hood as well. Now, usually I’m not much for hooded leather jackets. But there are always exceptions. Because this one is hidden, and because it’s a bit more interesting than you’re average hood, I’m OK with it.
The stand completely unfolded. TALL!
The hidden hood. Think ninja-raincoat (in a good way)
I was initially hesitant about featuring this piece. It is nearly a year old, so I’m pretty late to the game on it. Beyond that, it’s sold out at Blackbird and (I thought) everywhere else. But I was wrong! You can still grab a medium at Brown’s. For half price! Being late to the game can have its advantages.
A look at the back to round things out? Of course:
The back. Love the paneling at the bottom
£895.00 at Brown’s and it’s yours (as long as you’re a medium, of course).
